Current status DPR approved by KIIFB on 04.09.2021. LA to be taken up after getting approval of GAD from railways. Vide letter dated 11.07.2022, Railway informed that GAD of ROB’s between Ernakulam and Shornur will be approved only after finalization of 3rd line. Alignment of the 3rd and 4th lines has been received from the Railways. Upon revising the GAD and alignment, it was observed that several existing and proposed structures are affected. Therefore, following a site visit, a revised proposal with improved geometry was submitted to the Railways on 17.05.2026. If found agreeable, a topographical survey will be conducted and the alignment will be finalized accordingly.
