The total land for the project is under the control off Cochin Port, NH, Cochin Shipyard. Also NOC from Indian Navy also require for alignment due to the proximity of Naval Airport. Several discussions at the level of Ministers, Chief Secretary and Peoples representatives were done. No consensus on alignment reached. Letter sent to Secretary PWD to take a decision regarding the implementation of the project on 14.06.2022. Secretary PWD required some details regarding the project and the same was submitted on 10.08.2022.
As requested by MLA in the CMT meeting, the details of affected structures in the colony area was submitted to MLA on 03.11.2022.
On 23.09.2023 RBDCK requested Secretary to Govt to intervene in this matter. GoK had directed to convene a joint meeting with Cochin Port trust & Southern Naval Command to solve issues related to finalisation of alignment. Hence on 16.02.2024, RBDCK requested both parties to inform a convenient date for the meeting. Now awaiting reply. |
