Current status LA requisition submitted on 5.09.2018. Due to protest from Land Owners, MLA informed that Planting of boundary stone to be postponed. A letter was forwarded from the office of PWD minister regarding the possibility of changing the alignment as suggested by MLA. Reply letter send to PWD Minister on 17.09.2019. Deputy Collector, Kottayam has directed to proceed with the boundary stone planting with police protection. Again boundary stone planting interrupted by Public on 26.08.2020 and MLA also wanted to hold the stone planting. As directed by Secretary PWD, letter sent to the Private Secretary of the Hon. Minister for Corporation and Registration on 08.07.2021 & 16.10.2021, to fix a convenient date for conducting a meeting to solve the issues. Intimated the same to DC Kottayam in last LA meeting on 28.09.2021. In the Ettumanoor LAC meeting conducted on 18.01.2022, Honourable Minister had decided to convene a meeting to resolve the issues on 21.02.2022. Meeting was conducted on 25.05.2022 and decided to conduct another meeting for final decision. Letter sent to Minister on 16.06.2022 for informing the convenient date for conducting meeting. A review meeting of Ettumanoor LAC was convened by Hon. MLA & DC Kottayam on 03.11.2022. In the meeting, it was decided not to proceed with the existing flyover project and MLA suggested for a new flyover in Ettumanoor - Pala road. Informed the same to GoK & KIIFB on 02.12.2022. KIIFB has informed that construction of Ettumanoor Flyover is excluded from KIIFB funding vide letter dated 15.02.2023. Hence RBDCK requested Secretary, PWD to delete the project from the scope of RBDCK.
