The DPR was approved by KIIFB on 16.05.2017 for an amount of Rs. 19.6 crore. The major portion of the required land had already been acquired by the Railways. The Railways granted permission to RBDCK to carry out works on the acquired railway land on 27.02.2023, and the GAD was approved by the Railways on 13.01.2023.
To suit the revised GAD, additional land acquisition is required, and the process is in progress. The 4(1) notification was published on 01.07.2024, and the 11(1) notification was published on 16.07.2025.
The work was first tendered on 17.02.2024, but no bids were received. Subsequently, it was re-tendered on 27.06.2024, and one bid was received. The financial bid was opened on 22.10.2024. Since the quoted amount was 21.56% higher than the estimate amount and 2.92% higher than the LMR amount, RBDCK requested tender approval from the Secretary, PWD on 04.12.2024 and again on 09.04.2025.
On 12.06.2025, the Government suggested re-tendering the work. Accordingly, the estimate was revised based on DSR 2021, and the TS Committee conducted its review and issued TS on 18.07.2025. Subsequently, a revised FS for Rs. 22.83 crore was approved by KIIFB on 01.09.2025, and the work was re-tendered on 19.09.2025. The pre-qualification bid was opened on 04.11.2025, and the documents are under evaluation. |
