Current status DPR approved. LA request submitted to Dist. collector 29.08.2018. LA is in final stage. 19(1) notification published on 16.11.2021. On 02.12.2022 Hon'ble High court stayed the taking possession of 12 petitioners of WP(c) 28008/2020. LA taking possession of 51/69 completed on 27.05.2023. On 12.02.2024, Hon'ble HC disposed of the petitions filed by residents of Edava, directing the district collector to "reconsider the matter after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners"" within 2 months. On 13.05.2024, the District Collector issued orders disposing off the petitions and directed the Revenue dept. to complete the remaining LA works. On WP(C) 19439/2024, 21115/2024, before Hon'ble HC of Kerala, the court stayed all orders for 1 month. On 24.09.2024, the Hon'ble High Court disposed all the petitioners. But the petitioners had filed writ appeal against the order in Hon'ble High Court. On 16.10.2024, the Hon'ble HC has disposed the writ appeal. On 23.10.2024, an SLP was filed by 6 residents of Edava before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court has stayed all process of land acquisition.
